Applesauce Candy

  1. 1 c. applesauce
  2. 1 c. sugar
  3. 1 pkg. fruit gelatin
  4. 1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped
  5. extra sugar for coating
  1. Combine applesauce and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Bring it to a boil and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Dissolve gelatin in applesauce mixture.
  4. Add nuts and pour into an 8x8 pan.
  5. After 24 hours cut into 1 inch squares and roll in sugar.
  6. Roll in sugar a second time 24 hours later.
  7. Makes 64 pieces.
  1. Helpful Hints: Can puree fruit cocktail, peaches or pears instead of applesauce.
