Ingredients
  1. 1 cup butter
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. Cream.
  4. Add 2 egg yolks, then 2 cups flour
Instructions
  1. Form in small balls. Dip in slightly beaten egg whites and roll in finely chopped nuts.
  2. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Push in center of cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
  4. Remove and press in center again.
  5. Bake 10 more minutes.
  6. When cool, fill centers with butter frosting in seasonal colors.

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups brown sugar
  2. 1 cup butter
  3. 1 tsp. vanilla
  4. 2 cups evaporated milk
  5. 1 pound pecan halves
  6. 12 oz. pkg sweet chocolate chips
  7. 1 tbsp. melted paraffin
Instructions
  1. Combine sugar, butter, vanilla, and 1 cup evaporated milk in pan; mix well.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Add remaining milk gradually.
  4. Cook to 234-240 degrees on candy thermometer, soft ball stage.
  5. Stir in pecans. Stir into large buttered pan.
  6. Chill overnight. Cut into squares. Place on waxed paper.
  7. Blend melted chocolate and paraffin in bowl. Spoon carefully over squares. Yield 5 lbs.

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups flour
  2. 2 cups brown sugar
  3. 1 cup chopped nuts
  4. 2 tsp. cinnamon
  5. 1 tsp. baking soda
  6. 1/2 tsp. salt
  7. 1 cup sour cream
  8. 1 tsp. vanilla
  9. 1 egg, beaten
  10. 1 cup chopped peeled apple
Instructions
  1. In mixing bowl, combine floud, brown sugar and butter.
  2. Blend at low speed until crumbly. Stir in nuts.
  3. Press about 2 3/4 cups into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 pan.
  4. To the remaining crumb mix, add cinnamon, baking soda, salt, sour cream, vanilla and egg.
  5. Beat until thoroughly combined. Stir in apples. Spoon over bottom layer.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Chocolate Cherry Bars

Ingredients
  1. 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
  2. 1 can cherry pie filling
  3. 2 eggs, beaten
  4. 1 tsp. almond extract
Instructions
  1. Mix together in a large bowl. Do not use a mixer.
  2. Pour onto greased 9x13 cake pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.
Frosting
  1. 1 cup sugar 5 tsp. margarine 1/3 cup milk stir constantly on medium heat; time 2 min. when it boils.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add 6 oz. chocolate chips and stir well. Pour over the bars and spread gently with a knife.

Pumpkin Ice Cream Squares

Ingredients
  1. Crumbs: 1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  2. 1/4 cup sugar
  3. 1/4 cup melted butter
  4. 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
  5. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  6. 1/2 tsp. salt
  7. 1 tsp. cinnamon
  8. 1/4 tsp. ginger
  9. 1/8 tsp. cloves
  10. 1 qt. vanilla ice cream
Instructions
  1. Prepare the crumbs by mixing together the graham crackers, sugar, and melted butter.
  2. Use just a few of these crumbs on the bottom of a 9x9 pan.
  3. In a separate bowl combine the rest of the ingredients, folding in the softened quart of ice cream last.
  4. Top with the rest of the crumbs and freeze for about 20 minutes.
