There will be no activities at McMillan Park; and there will be no other business held during the 2020 Annual Meeting of Members.

2020 Access Energy Cooperative Annual Meeting of Members Announcement

The Access Energy Cooperative Board of Directors voted at their regular meeting on May 13th to modify the format of the 2020 Annual Meeting of Members on August 4, 2020, to eliminate the in-person portion of the meeting and conduct the election of directors by mail and electronic voting only.
The cooperative encourages members to take part in the director election. Any member voting by the deadline, either electronically or by mail, will receive a $10 bill credit. Voting materials and instructions will be mailed July 6, 2020.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty surrounding the ability of large groups to gather in coming months, and for the protection of the health and safety of the members and employees, the Board voted on May 22nd to approve this change. As everyone is faced with unprecedented times and changes, current information available must be used to make decisions that affect future plans. This decision did not come easy for the board; however, Access Energy Cooperative concluded it is the responsible choice to make.
Since December 2019, when the COVID-19 (coronavirus) began impacting the globe, and March 2020, when it began affecting our nation, the cooperative was forced to change the way operations were conducted to serve the membership. The importance of the health and safety of the employees and membership became very apparent in the first few days of the virus hitting Iowa. While the cooperative remained in full operation to keep the power on for the members, the challenges brought on by the virus forced Access Energy Cooperative to close its doors to the membership and general public, similar to many businesses in Iowa and throughout the country. The office remains closed to the public and to members at this time; however, all employees report to work each day, and practice physical distancing and enhanced personal hygiene so our operations can continue at full capacity. Power on!
The Access Energy Cooperative Annual Meeting of Members for next year will be on August 3, 2021. Expectations are to return to a full agenda and all members will be encouraged to attend.
