Be Prepared for Winter Storms
While the light is visible at the end of the tunnel for this long cold winter, we aren’t quite out of it yet. Winter storms are still possible. Access Energy Cooperative’s control center, phone lines, and personnel remain available in all weather to assist you and keep the power on. In the event of outages, crews respond as soon as conditions are safe. As a reminder, please keep these things in mind during a winter storm:
- If you have an outage to report, for fastest power recovery, please call 1-866-242-4232 or submit a report on the SmartHub app. Do not send a message through Facebook or social media, as they are not monitored on a constant basis.
- Be prepared in case of extreme weather and extended outages by keeping supplies on hand, like water, food, flashlights, prescriptions, and first aid kits. Also keep extra batteries, power chargers for cell phones, manual can openers, and don’t forget pet food.
In the event of a storm that has caused outages, you can get updates on restoration efforts on our website at accessenergycoop.com.
